Plantronics Professional VoIP Headset Setup

With many modern companies switching their telephony systems over to VoIP applications (Voice Over Internet Protocol) - or "Computer based phone system", lots of people tend to choose "Computer" headsets by accident instead of a traditional "Telephone" headset.  What's the difference? Why does it matter to me?

Well, for one...computer headsets are primarily designed for multi-media listening (ie. Movies, Music, & Games, etc.).  They enhance certain features like a "Boomy" bass frequency which is great for games & movies, but definitely not for phone calls!  Telephone style headsets on the other hand, produce a sound & experience closer to an actual telephone call.  They enhance the key frequencies needed to understand what your caller is saying to you (Voice frequencies), & help to prevent the constant, "What?  Was that a C or a D?  Oh, it was T!"

If you already have a professional office headset from Plantronics (With the QD quick disconnect) you may be able to use a DA-Series USB adapter cable to make the switch even easier.  The Plantronics professional office headsets (H-series) will all work with the DA-Series USB adapter cables.  So, if you're starting from scratch...click HERE & choose from one of almost 30 different headsets.  Then click HERE & check out the different DA-Series USB cables to see which one suits your needs.

So make the right choice - are you playing games, or are you making business calls?
